Ep 16. Conscious Coupling

Grace has been having a bit of an internal crisis recently, as she's feeling like her life isn't quite where she wants it to be. Specifically, she's been feeling lonely and like she's missing out on something. To combat this, she's been seeing a therapist regularly, though it seems like she's been hesitant to fully open up to them about what's really bothering her.

Meanwhile, Will has been dealing with his own set of issues. Specifically, he's been trying to get a new job, but has been struggling to find something that he's really passionate about. He's been bouncing around from interview to interview, but nothing has really clicked for him yet.

In the midst of all this, Grace runs into her ex-husband, Leo, while out and about doing errands. They haven't seen each other in years, and while their divorce was messy at the time, they've both moved on and seem to be relatively friendly towards each other now.

Leo mentions to Grace that he's actually gone back to school to become a therapist himself, and offers to give her a therapy session for free to help her work through whatever she's been dealing with lately. Grace initially declines, but eventually decides to take him up on the offer.

The therapy session with Leo turns out to be surprisingly productive for Grace, as she ends up opening up to him about how she's been feeling unhappy and like she's missing out on something. Leo tells Grace that he's been having similar feelings lately as well, which obviously makes Grace feel less alone.

Meanwhile, Will's job search finally leads him to an interview with a law firm that he's really interested in working for. He's nervous about the interview, but ends up hitting it off with the interviewer, a man named David. David offers Will the job, but Will starts to worry that he's just settling for something that he's not really passionate about.

After the therapy session, Grace goes to talk to Will about what she's been feeling. Will reveals to Grace that he's been struggling with finding something that he's really passionate about, and that he's worried he's just going to end up settling for something that he's not really invested in.

The conversation turns to Grace and Leo, and Grace admits to Will that she's sort of been considering getting back together with Leo. Will is skeptical, and cautions Grace not to jump back into something that might not be right for her.

Despite Will's warnings, Grace decides to give things with Leo another shot. They plan to go out on a romantic date, which has Grace feeling excited and hopeful. However, things take a turn when Leo starts to act oddly and out of character during the date. Grace starts to worry that maybe she was wrong to try and rekindle things with him, and begins to question whether or not she's making the right choice.

The episode ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering what Grace will ultimately decide to do about her relationship with Leo. Additionally, Will's job situation remains uncertain, leaving viewers wondering if he'll find something that truly ignites his passion. Overall, this episode is a poignant examination of what happens when you feel like something in your life is missing, and how difficult it can be to figure out what you truly want.
