Ep 6. Kid 'n Play

Karen is pregnant, and while at the doctor's office she runs into her nemesis, Mimi (guest star Ana Gasteyer). Mimi tries to one-up Karen by showing off her own pregnant belly, but Karen remains unimpressed. Meanwhile, Grace and Will are asked to be godparents to Marcus (guest star Reed Alexander), a young boy whose parents are friends with Jack. Grace and Will take their responsibilities seriously but go overboard with their efforts to impress Marcus, ultimately embarrassing him in front of his friends. Jack tries to help smooth things over while dealing with his own conflicting emotions about not wanting children of his own. The episode explores themes of ego, responsibility, and parenting.
