Ep 15. Broadway Boundaries

Will & Grace season 11 episode 15, titled "Broadway Boundaries," centers around the gang's desire to produce an original musical. After learning about a Broadway producer who's scouting new talent, Will, Grace, Jack, and Karen hatch a plan to stage an impromptu performance in front of him at a restaurant.

At the beginning of the episode, the group meets with the producer, who initially seems uninterested in their pitch. However, he eventually mentions that he's heard about a new trend in musical theater: incorporating social media into live performances. He tells them that if they can come up with an original, social media-friendly musical, he'd be interested in seeing what they've got.

The gang becomes excited about the prospect of creating something truly unique. Will suggests writing a musical about a woman who becomes internet famous, only to have her life spiral out of control. Grace suggests using their own social media profiles as inspiration for the characters, which brings up some old resentments between Jack and Karen. Meanwhile, Karen is grappling with a personal problem: her beloved maid Rosario has recently passed away, and Karen can't stop thinking about her. She turns to Will for advice on how to move on.

As the gang works on their musical, tensions begin to rise. Jack feels overshadowed by Karen's attention-grabbing antics, and he worries that his role in the musical will be diminished as a result. Karen, for her part, is grappling with grief and can't seem to focus on anything other than Rosario. Will and Grace try to keep the peace, but their own longstanding issues begin to bubble to the surface as well.

Despite the group's differences, they manage to come up with an impressive musical number that incorporates social media and traditional Broadway song and dance. The producer is impressed by their work and invites them to perform a full-length version of the show.

The gang is ecstatic about their success, but they soon realize that their personal dramas are far from over. Karen is still struggling to come to grips with Rosario's death, and Jack is resentful of his friend's spotlight-stealing ways. As they prepare to take their show to the next level, they may need to find a way to put their differences aside and come together as a team.
