Will & Grace season 7, episode 15, "Bully Woolley" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode that follows the gang as they confront their past bully and try to make amends.
The episode opens with Will and Grace discussing Will's upcoming business trip and the fact that Grace has been named as one of New York's top 50 businesswomen. However, their conversation quickly turns to memories of their high school bully, Bobbi Adler (played by Debbie Reynolds). Grace is still traumatized by Bobbi's cruelty and Will feels guilty about never standing up to her.
Meanwhile, Jack and Karen are dealing with a different kind of bully - a new barista at their favorite coffee shop who refuses to give them free drinks like the previous barista did. Jack is determined to get his free drink and comes up with a plan to "kill him with kindness." Karen, on the other hand, decides to take a more direct approach and threatens the new barista with her infamous "honeydew" torture.
Back at Grace's office, Bobbi suddenly appears and apologizes to Grace for her past behavior. Grace is shocked and doesn't know how to react, but Will is thrilled to see his mom and welcomes her with open arms. Bobbi explains that she's been going through therapy and has come to terms with her past mistakes. She also admits that she's been following Grace's career and is incredibly proud of her.
As the gang gathers around Bobbi, they begin to reminisce about old times and it's clear that everyone has something to say to her. Karen admits that she was always scared of Bobbi and apologizes for never standing up to her. Jack fawns over Bobbi and tells her how much he loves her movies. And Will and Grace finally confront Bobbi about the way she treated them in high school.
Although Bobbi is apologetic, she is also defensive and tries to justify her actions. Will and Grace are disappointed but understand that forgiveness is a process. Bobbi then surprises them all by revealing that she's dying of lung cancer and only has a few weeks left to live.
The gang is shocked and devastated by the news and suddenly all of their past grievances seem irrelevant. They band together to support Bobbi and make her remaining days as happy as possible. Karen even offers to help Bobbi complete her bucket list, which includes skydiving and visiting the Grand Canyon.
As the episode comes to a close, Will and Grace reflect on the importance of forgiveness and how it can bring people together. They realize that, although they can't change the past, they can choose to let go of their anger and move forward with love.
Overall, "Bully Woolley" is a standout episode of Will & Grace that blends humor and heart in a way that only this cast can. It's a reminder that forgiveness is a powerful force that can transform lives - even if it's just for a few short weeks.
