Friday After Next (2002) is a comedy starring Ice Cube and Mike Epps. The movie, directed by Marcus Raboy, is a sequel to the film Next Friday (2000). A robber disguised as Santa breaks into the home of Day-Day (Mike Epps) and Craig (Ice Cube) on Christmas Eve, as the movie opens. Craig takes on the robber while trying to wake a still-sleeping Day-Day. The robber ends up getting away with the pair's Christmas gifts, plus their rent money. The stage is now set for the basic plot of Friday After Next.
Things get worse for Day-Day and Craig when they can't catch a break from their landlady, Ms. Pearly (Bebe Drake). She doesn't have any sympathy for their plight and threatens to evict them if the two don't pay their rent within 24 hours. She further threatens the pair by saying that she will send her ex-con son, Damon (Terry Crews) after them if they don't pay up. Later that day, the desperate duo end up getting jobs as security guards with the help of the manager of a doughnut shop and shopping center named Moly (Maz Jobrani). They run into several of their friends at the mall before getting assigned to patrol the shopping center.
At the shopping center, Day-Day and Craig run into an assortment of characters, including the owners (K.D. Aubert and Katt Williams) of a shop called Pimps and Hoes. Craig and Day-Day catch a couple of robbers trying to rob a store owned by one of their mall friends. Chaos ensues as Day-Day and Craig continue with their job, which includes chasing a group of caroling children away from the store they are guarding. After a series of pratfalls, the pair end up getting fired from their job. As a parting shop, they report Moly to the Department of Health for violations.
Flash forward to a party Craig and Day-Day throw to earn enough money for their rent. Ms. Pearly's son tries to rape Money Mike, a friend of Craig and Day-Day. Ms. Pearly, who proves to be a feisty old lady, has her eye on Craig's dad. This doesn't sit well with Craig's mom. During the chaos, Craig and Day-Day spot the robber. A chase ensues and the robber is hit by limo while running away. The robber, who survives his ordeal with the limo, is tied onto the chimney on Christmas Day by Craig and Day-Day. Watch the credits for an official wrap-up of what happens to the other characters.
