The Detonator is a 2006 film about a former-CIA specialist named Sonni Grifith who has to save a Romanian woman named Nadia from mafia boss Joszef Bostanescu. Nadia is employed in the service of Bostanescu as one his assistants but ends up taking some important top secret information from Bostanescu. She takes this information and hides out in Romania. The CIA finds out about the information that she has and they send Grifith to retrieve Nadia and the information she is keeping. Grifith and his friend Michael Shepherd pose as Nadia's bodyguards to keep her while trying to get her away from Bostanescu.
Bostanescu is tracking Nadia down and he manages to kidnap her son. He decides to use the child as leverage to get back his top secret information from Nadia. Meanwhile Grifith is battling against Bostanescu's henchmen while trying to get back Nadia's son. Ultimately, Griffith has to go on a rescue mission to get back Nadia's son and to try and save her from Bostanescu. The Detonator is rated R and stars Wesley Snipes, William Hope, Tim Dutton, Silvia Colloca and is directed by Po-Chih Leong.
