Ep 14. Monday Night Football

The episode "Monday Night Football" of How I Met Your Mother season 2 follows the gang as they gear up for a night of football and beer. Robin is excited to watch her favorite team, the Vancouver Canucks, play against the New York Rangers. However, her enthusiasm is dampened when she realizes that they aren't playing hockey.

Meanwhile, Barney invites Ted to join him at a high-stakes game of laser tag. Ted is initially hesitant, but Barney convinces him to come along by promising that they'll be playing against a group of children. However, when they arrive at the laser tag arena, they discover that they'll be facing a team of professional players.

Back at the bar, Marshall and Lily find themselves in a bit of a predicament when they can't decide whether to root for the Canucks or the Rangers. This leads to a heated argument, with each trying to convince the other that their team is the better one.

Ted and Barney's laser tag game doesn't go as planned, with both of them getting humiliated by the professional players. And Marshall and Lily's argument reaches a point where they're both too upset to even look at each other.

Things come to a head when Robin storms out of the bar, unable to take another minute of the football game. This prompts Ted, Barney, Marshall, and Lily to go after her and try to cheer her up. They end up at a diner, where they bond over a plate of greasy food and Robin finally gets to watch a hockey game on TV.

In the end, the gang realizes that it doesn't matter whether they win or lose at laser tag, or which team they're rooting for. The important thing is being together and having fun, no matter what the night throws their way.
