Mordecai and Rigby have been best friends and co-workers at the Park for many years now. They have gone on many adventures and even shared some crazy nights out, but they had never really had a proper date until now. In the episode titled "Real Date," the audience gets to see Mordecai and Rigby go through the motions of planning and going on a real date with their significant others.

The episode kicks off with Mordecai feeling a little nervous about his upcoming date with his girlfriend, CJ. He enlists Rigby's help in planning the perfect date, and Rigby suggests they hold a game night at the park. Mordecai is hesitant at first, but with some convincing from Rigby, he ultimately agrees.

Next up, we see Rigby himself struggling to plan a date with his girlfriend, Eileen. He realizes that he has been neglecting her and wants to make it right. He tries to come up with the perfect idea but fails miserably at every turn. Rigby begins to feel very inadequate compared to Mordecai, who is always able to impress CJ with his grand gestures.

Meanwhile, as Mordecai and Rigby prepare for their dates, the rest of the park crew watches on. Pops, Benson, and Skips all chime in with their own advice and experiences with dating, which leads to some hilarious moments and stories. It's clear that everyone is rooting for Mordecai and Rigby to have a successful date.

As the night of the date arrives, Mordecai and CJ arrive at the park, and Rigby is there to greet them. Rigby's date, Eileen, arrives shortly after, and the group decides to start the evening off with some board games. The night starts off smoothly, and everyone seems to be having a great time.

However, as the night goes on, things begin to unravel. CJ becomes frustrated with Mordecai for not paying attention to her, and Rigby's lack of planning begins to show. Eileen becomes increasingly bored with the night and begins to regret even coming.

Throughout all of this, the park crew watches from afar, hoping their friends can salvage the night somehow. Mordecai and Rigby realize that the night isn't going as planned, but they refuse to let it end on a sour note.

In a last-ditch effort to save the night, Mordecai comes up with an impromptu concert for everyone to enjoy. He and Rigby perform a song that they wrote together, and it proves to be a hit with everyone. The group ends up having an amazing time, and the night is saved.

The episode ends with Mordecai and Rigby reflecting on their night and what they learned. They both realize that planning a date isn't about being impressive or grandiose; it's about spending time with the person you care about. They both learn that they need to listen more and pay attention to their significant others' needs and wants.

In conclusion, "Real Date" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode of Regular Show. It shows the audience the importance of communication and listening in relationships and reminds us that even when things don't go as planned, there's always a way to salvage the night.
