In a post-apocalyptic world, a skilled surgeon named Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) discovers a discarded cyborg head in a junkyard. Upon realizing the head still contains a functioning brain, he decides to attach it to a new body, creating a powerful cyborg called Alita (Rosa Salazar).
