Beyond Borders is a romantic film that also serves as a drama that was released in 2003. The film stars both Angelina Jolie and Clive Owen as the leading roles. The movie starts with the character of Sarah Jordan, played by Angelina Jolie, attending a fund raising event while living in England. The event itself starts off innocently and running smoothly until a man named Nick Callahan, played by Clive Owen, interrupts and gives a rousing speech concerning malnutrition and human poverty in the world, specifically since he is a humanitarian worker. Sarah, who becomes intrigued by his work, decides to follow him on his human rights efforts across the world, even to Ethiopia, where she and Callahan see what poverty and suffering is up close. In the midst of their journeys and learning about the various humanitarian crises, the two travelers all the while are starting to fall for each other the more they spend time together.
