Five Miles to Midnight is a 1962 drama. Anatole Litvak directed and Sophia Loren and Anthony Perkins star in the movie. Loren plays a young woman named Lisa who is married to an abusive husband named Robert (Perkins). She plans to divorce Robert but is caught off guard when he is reportedly killed in a plane crash. Robert is actually alive and persuades Lisa to collect on his life insurance policy. The sets the plot for a suspenseful story as things quickly take a turn for the worst. Robert becomes very jealous when Lisa takes up with a new lover.
