This movie is about a man named Toby, who takes a job managing a boarding barn. When he arrives, he bring Flicka with them. The daughter of the owner who is an avid rider, quickly forms an unbreakable bond with Flicka. Flicka is a wild horse and is not trained. The owner of the stable’s daughter’s name is Kelly. Kelly really wants to break Flicka to ride and would love to ride her in her team’s competition that is coming up.

The stable can’t make it financially and may have to be sold, as they are unable to hold on to it. This is due to a rival trainer that is constantly stealing away their business. The rival trainer is also looking to get an edge on the upcoming competition. Toby has come just in the nick of time. He steps in and trains the team as well as putting the stable back on track, so the owners will not have to sell it.
