Watch Good Neighbor Sam
- 2 hr 10 min
This comedy focuses on the life of a likeable and hard working ad man named Sam Bissell, enjoying life in the suburbs with a wife and two kids in the American 1960s. His boss introduces him to Simon Nurdlinger, a client who insists that his business can only be handled by someone who understands what it is to be a real family man. Sam wins Nurdlinger's trust and his account for the company, then goes home to celebrate with his wife and her longtime friend Janet, a recently divorced woman who has just purchased the home next door. Janet soon embroils Sam in a plot to fool her relatives that she is still happily married to her husband Howard in order to qualify to receive a substantial inheritance from her late grandfather. Janet and Sam pretend to be married in order to convince Janet's cousins, Irene and Jack, that she is happily married as required by the stipulations of granddad's will. But complications set in when the cousins hire a private investigator to uncover whether Janet is really as happily married as she claims to be, forcing Sam to continue the charade longer than he expected.
