A series of storm cells has been reported in the area of Silverton, Oklahoma. After the death of three high school students who were trying to film one of the tornados that was formed, storm-chaser Pete heads to Silverton to see if he can land the kind of tornado footage he has always dreamed of getting. Meanwhile, local high school students are participating in a graduation ceremony totally unaware of the storm activity that is headed in their direction. As Pete and his team try to position themselves for the inevitable, townspeople are left scrambling from the sounds of tornado sirens.
