Loving is a comedy film that is based on a book called Brooks Wilson Ltd. The movie stars George Segal, Eva Marie Saint, Keenan Wynn and Sterling Hayden, among others. Sherry Lansing was also in this movie. She went on to become the president of 20th Century Fox Productions. The film follows the life of Brooks Wilson, who works as a commercial artist. He has a very busy life between going to work, being married to Selma, and raising two young children. He is also juggling a girlfriend outside of his marriage by the name of Grace. Grace wants Brooks to leave his wife to be with her, but he is not willing to do so. While all of this is going on, Brooks is trying to land a big account for work with the company Lepridon. While he is trying hard, the contract seems to be slipping away from him. While at a company party, Brooks has relations with a top associate's wife. Their encounter is accidentally caught on closed-circuit television. His wife and the woman’s husband are both hurt very deeply. Brooks and the woman’s husband end up getting in a fist fight that has to be broken up. Once all of the excitement calms down, Brooks tries to make amends with his wife. He tells her that after all of his hard work, he was able to get and secure the Lepridon account. Selma shows signs of being less than interested in Brooks’ work after what she saw. She hits Brooks with her purse and does not say a word to him. When the movie ends, the pair spends a long time looking at each other, contemplating long and hard the state of their marriage.
