Watch Mrs. Soffel

The movie Mrs. Soffel tells the story of Kate Soffel. She is the wife of a prison warden in Pittsburgh. The movie is set in 1901. The couple has four children. Kate gets very sick and is in bed for several months. Suddenly she gets better. The doctors do not know how she recovered. She wants to do something to help people and the prison is the prime spot for her. She visits the inmates and reads the Bible to them. She meets Ed and his brother Jack. Unlike most of the inmates they may be innocent. Kate falls in love with Ed and helps him and his brother escape. She believes that the brothers are really innocent. The warden is not happy about this in any way and all three are wanted by authorities. The all go on the run together. This movie stars Diane Keaton, Mel Gibson, and Matthew Modine.
