Watch Snow White: A Tale of Terror

The film, Snow White: A Tale of Terror is a 1997 film. It is an American horror and fantasy film. It is based on the Brothers Grimm's Snow White fairy tale. It was directed by Michael Cohn. Its protagonists are Sam Neill, Sigourney Weaver, and Monica Keena. This version takes place during the Crusades. Lily is the young girl who is supposed to take on the role of Snow White. Her mother dies and her father remarries, leaving the young girl with a stepmother. Lily is not the sweet young girl you would expect she would be. Instead, Lily is cruel and rebels against her stepmother. Nevertheless, the stepmother is still depicted as being evil. There is also the use of the poisoned apple, the magical mirror, and miners.

The different attitudes among social classes are depicted. There is the wealthy and the peasant class. Lily will have to survive after her stepmother wants her dead. In this version, the fairy tale is scripted in a way that is nothing like the Disney film.
