Hank Palmer has to investigate the matter in order to clear his father’s name and to protect his practice as a judge. During the course of his investigation he comes across the deep seated secrets of the town. Hank Palmer manages to connect with his estranged family during the course of his investigation, and he is also able to learn about the reason why he moved to the city in the first place.
