This Is Where I Leave You is a 2014 comedy and drama about a man who comes home one day to find his longtime girlfriend in bed with his boss. The man spirals into a deep depression, until he gets a call from a family member telling him about the death of his father. The man leaves his home in order to stay with the rest of his family and be in mourning together. While the whole family is together, the comedy of the film begins to settle as the brothers and sisters begin to act toward one another in ways only brothers and sisters can act.

The man runs into a former women who he once knew, roughly ten years before, who he finds himself now falling for. The women asks about his current relationship and the man responds by telling her about the situation where he encountered his past girlfriend in bed with the person he works for.
