The 1975 film "The Man Who Would Be King" is an adaptation of a novel by the same name written by Rudyard Kipling. This film, directed by John Huston, begins in the year 1885 with two rouge Indian officers seeking untold riches and a chance to become gods. The two Indian officers are played by Sean Connery and Michael Cain. Along with Christopher Plummer these two get much more than they bargained for. With a harrowing trip over the Khyber Pass they finally find the long lost tribe they are looking for. They find jewels beyond their dreams. Some of the jewels have Masonic symbols on them and this deepens the plot. After a cruel expedition home to India only one officer makes it home alive and regales others with his stories of fame, fortune and heart break.
