The Only Game in Town

"Dice was his vice. Men hers."

The Only Game in Town is a 1970 American drama. It starred Elizabeth Taylor and Warren Beatty. George Stevens directed the movie, and an interesting footnote to the film is that it was the last film of his career. The movie is based on a play of the same name written by Frank D. Gilroy. The movie tells the story of a Los Angeles chorus line girl named Fran Walker (Taylor) and a lounge pianist named Joe Grady (Beatty.) Grady has an addictive gambling problem. The two begin an affair. Fran is already involved with a San Francisco businessman. He keeps promising to divorce his wife.
