This science fiction movie is about government agents and the threat of the Earth being invaded. The movie is based on the novel released in 1951. The agents are trying to stop alien parasites that are trying to control the minds of Americans before spreading to other parts of the globe. Some parts of the movie resemble the popular Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

The aliens begin their rampage in the Midwest states. Parasites enter humans and invade the brain, telling the person under control what to do, including killing others and spreading the parasite. One of the main characters in the play who is trying to defeat the aliens does not work well with the other people on the team, leading to disagreements that could affect the whether the aliens are defeated or not.
