Toy Story: That Time Forgot is a 2014 animated adventure-comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Steve Purcell. It features the voices of Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, and a host of other talented voice actors. The film takes place shortly after the events of Toy Story 3. Bonnie, the little girl who inherited Andy's toys, is playing with her toys during Christmas when she gets a new set of toys that is unlike anything the toys have seen before. These new toys are based on the old television show "Battlesaurs," and they are a group of fierce dinosaur warriors that apparently do not know that they are toys.

Woody, Buzz, and their team are put aside by Bonnie and her new toys, who seem to be more advanced and more exciting than the regular toys. However, when Bonnie starts to play with her new BattleSaurus toys, she accidently sends Trixie, the adorable triceratops, along with them into a dangerous journey in the mysterious world of the Battlesaurs.

Upon arrival, the toys realize that their new toys are not what they seem to be. They are shockingly not only programmable but also ambitious creatures controlled by a manipulative child, Mason, who has no intention of letting them return to Bonnie. He wants to keep them as prisoners and make them fight his other toys in his own twisted version of gladiatorial combat.

Trixie, who is in-cognito, plays around in the Battlesaur world and is fascinated by the fact that the sentient dinosaurs truly believe they are living creatures and have no concept of being toys. She soon meets Reptilicus Maximus, the leader of Battlesaurs, who takes her under his wing and teaches her everything she needs to know about the Battlesaur world, including their warrior culture, their history, and most importantly, their weakness.

As the Battlesaurs become a bigger threat to Bonnie's toys and Trixie gets trapped, Woody realizes that he and the gang have to enter their own "Battlesaurs" mode to save Trixie and defeat Mason before it's too late. They even find themselves fighting against their own friends who have been brainwashed by Mason's manipulation. With the help of a veteran Battlesaur named, Reptilicus, Woody and the crew must work together to escape and return home to Bonnie's room.

The film is a remarkable follow-up to the iconic Toy Story trilogy. It showcases the endless humour and creativity of Pixar animation whilst sticking to its heartfelt and nostalgic roots. The familiar characters and quick dialogue make the movie feel familiar and enjoyable, while the new external characters add a fresh element to the story. Their dynamic personalities fit seamlessly in the Toy Story universe, and the design of the Battlesaur world is just as impressive as the rest of Pixar's creations.

In terms of themes, Toy Story: That Time Forgot highlights the importance of staying true to oneself and standing up for one's beliefs, even when they are different from everyone else's. It also portrays the idea of standing up against oppressive systems that blurs the boundary of authority, and the idea that friendship can help overcome even the most daunting of obstacles.

All in all, Toy Story: That Time Forgot is a fantastic film that truly captures what it means to grow up with Toy Story. It's an entertaining, action-packed adventure that will be enjoyed by both children and adults alike. It's a testament to Pixar's talent for storytelling that a franchise that started over twenty years ago can still feel fresh and exciting. It's a must-watch for all Toy Story fans and a perfect introduction for newcomers to the franchise.
