Max and Caroline find themselves on a mission to find Caroline's ex-boyfriend, Candy Andy, after she learns he's just ended a long-term relationship. The news prompts Caroline to reflect on why she ended her relationship with him in the first place, and she ultimately decides to give him another chance.

Meanwhile, Max is dealing with the aftermath of her own one-night stand with a bartender named Johnny. When he doesn't call her back, Max assumes the worst and tries to cut her emotional losses by hooking up with a new guy every night.

As the two girls navigate their respective trysts, they find themselves weaving in and out of each other's stories in unexpected ways. They both learn valuable lessons about love and relationships along the way, and ultimately find themselves in a better place than they were before.
