Ep 5. Reaganing

In the fifth episode of the fifth season of 30 Rock, titled "Reaganing", the staff of TGS are in awe of Jack's seemingly infallible ability to accomplish anything he sets his mind to. He claims that he is in the midst of a "Reaganing" - a magical point in time when even the impossible can be made possible.

Liz, however, is skeptical of this supposed unbeatable state of mind. She sets out to prove that Jack is not truly Reaganing by throwing a number of challenges his way, hoping he will falter. But with each challenge, Jack only continues to prove himself and earn the admiration of his colleagues.

Meanwhile, Jenna is dealing with her own personal crisis as she struggles to come to terms with the fact that she is no longer the young, desirable starlet she once was. Tracy, in a rare moment of clarity, tries to show her that there is more to life than being young and attractive.

As the episode progresses, Liz becomes more and more convinced that something must be behind Jack's current success. She sets out to find the truth, only to ultimately discover that his legendary winning streak is simply a product of his unwavering self-confidence and belief in his own abilities.

"Reaganing" is a hilarious episode that showcases the comedic talent of the entire 30 Rock cast. From Tracy's earnest attempts to help Jenna embrace her age, to Liz's desperate attempts to prove Jack wrong, to Jack's own larger-than-life persona, every character is given a chance to shine in this fast-paced and very funny installment of the beloved sitcom.
