7 Days Out is a docu-series created by Netflix that examines the intense preparations leading up to some of the most significant events globally from around the world. Each episode is an in-depth look at the final seven days of planning and execution that are ultimately leading up to one of the most challenging and groundbreaking events.

The show gives you an inside look at the efforts put into creating such events, and how the people who work behind them tackle the issues and challenges they face. The show gives an insight into the kind of pressure that these individuals face when undertaking these high-stress jobs to make sure it all goes as planned.

This series of Netflix featured an eccentric fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and his team as they prepare for the 2017 Chanel spring-summer runway show. In this episode, we see the hard work and dedication that goes into creating a visually stunning and awe-inspiring run of the mill show that happens to be one of the biggest events in the fashion industry.

As we learn, the success of a Chanel show depends on the steadfast collaboration and attention to detail of Lagerfeld and his team. At the core of everything, is getting the models' outfits' design and fit right, sorting out the hair, and makeup of the models, and choreographing their walks in time for the big day.

Everyone on Lagerfeld's team featured in this episode takes their job seriously and understands the importance of every detail in the lead up to the event. It's neat to see the interplay between the staff members - how they deliberate, brainstorm, and work together passionately to execute an elegantly designed runway show.

The series takes us beyond fashion events, and we see the production and the ultimate execution of a Westminster Dog Show. Julie Webster, the director of the show walks us through the careful consideration that goes into organizing such an event. The episode highlights the complexity of the event that is built around the personalities of each dog, breed, and the challenges each dog handler faces.

This series also explores the efforts leading to space launching, and how it's all about ensuring the safety and well-being of astronauts. The episode displays NASA's struggle to launch their first rocket since the tragic accident of 2003.

The show also features an episode in which the critically acclaimed food critic, Frank Bruni, prepares for and executes his final restaurant review. The episode takes us behind the veil of food critique as Bruni and his team immerse themselves into the world of culinary creation to uncover how individual restaurants go about delivering culinary experiences that are nothing short of sensational.

7 Days Out’s final episode features a pop star Harry Styles as he prepares for and puts on his first solo concert. The episode gives an insight into Styles' journey thus far while featuring his rehearsals and the run-up to his first solo concert preparing for the biggest night of his life.

As we progress through the series, 7 Days Out, we see a range of stories that range from the fashion show to the space launch, and each features an irresistible behind-the-scenes look at the people, production and even the stress that these individuals work with as they aim for perfection. We see that the show is not limited by genre, as it portrays seven days of those behind the scenes anywhere.

The tenacity and attention to detail of Karl Lagerfeld and Julie Webster and the tenacity of Harry Styles and NASA engineers during trying times all reveal that despite their differences these individuals are all committed to excellence.

Each episode of the series unfolds a little bit of what's behind the curtain and creates a unique and unparalleled insight into how creative, high-pressure, and high-value industries operate. 7 Days Out navigates an excellent line between entertainment and flash-in-the-pan propaganda, leaving viewers with a greater appreciation for the hard work that goes into such events.

7 Days Out challenges us to respect the diligence and care of people working behind the scenes, and that some of the most fulfilling stories are often placed at the fringes of an event. The show tells us that the toil involved in every great show is immense, and therefore, that every great show should be regarded as nothing short of an amazing masterpiece.
