Ep 12. Princess Cookies

Princess Cookies is the twelfth episode of the fourth season of Adventure Time. The episode follows the story of a cookie who believes himself to be a princess and seeks recognition from Princess Bubblegum.

The episode begins with Princess Bubblegum visiting a group of children in a Candy Kingdom daycare center, where she distributes cookies. However, one of the cookies that she gives out falls on the ground and is picked up by a snail. The cookie ends up being transformed by the snail's slime into a living creature, and it believes itself to be a real princess.

The cookie, who names itself Princess Cookie, escapes from the Candy Kingdom and takes hostages at the Banana Guard Academy, demanding recognition from Princess Bubblegum. Finn and Jake are called in to defuse the situation, but they initially dismiss Princess Cookie's demands as unrealistic and deranged. However, as they try to negotiate with Princess Cookie, they realize that he has real emotional pain and trauma from being treated as a disposable cookie his whole life.

As they talk with Princess Cookie, they learn that he was created in a factory to be a lowly household cookie, and that he had always dreamed of being something more. Princess Bubblegum, who is monitoring the situation from outside, becomes concerned when she hears about Princess Cookie's past and decides to use a robotic version of herself to negotiate with him.

Princess Bubblegum's robot is able to talk with Princess Cookie and assures him that he is special and deserves recognition. However, the Banana Guards, who were convinced that Princess Cookie was a deranged cookie, try to intervene and end up ruining the negotiations. As a result, Princess Cookie feels betrayed and takes even more hostages.

Finn and Jake come up with a plan to rescue the hostages and defeat Princess Cookie. They dress up as cookies and use Princess Bubblegum's robot to distract Princess Cookie while they rescue the hostages from behind. The plan works, and Princess Cookie is apprehended by the Banana Guards.

In the final scene, Princess Bubblegum says goodbye to Princess Cookie and praises him for his bravery. She also tells him that he is not a princess, but that he could be a superhero. The episode ends with Princess Cookie leaving the Candy Kingdom, determined to find his destiny as a hero.
