Marple is back, and this time she's tackling the tricky mystery of They Do It With Mirrors. Based on the novel by esteemed crime-solver Agatha Christie, this episode follows Miss Marple as she visits her old friend Ruth Van Rydock at Stonygates, a sprawling estate that Ruth has turned into a rehabilitation center for juvenile delinquents.
At first, everything seems to be going smoothly for the young inmates - they're all thriving under Ruth's tough but fair regime. But when Ruth's stepson Christian arrives with his wife Adele, tensions begin to rise. Adele is a brash and flirtatious young woman who seems intent on causing trouble, while Christian - a known philanderer - is clearly up to something.
As Ruth and her stepchildren catch up, Adele's attention turns to one of the male inmates, a young man named Edgar Lawson. Unbeknownst to Ruth, Adele is actually an undercover agent who has been sent to Stonygates to investigate Edgar's possible involvement in a string of burglaries.
When a series of mysterious "accidents" occur on the estate - including a fire and a near-fatal fall - Marple begins to suspect that something more sinister is afoot. With the help of longtime friend and confidant Dolly Bantry, Miss Marple sets out to uncover the truth behind these strange occurrences.
As the plot thickens, Miss Marple begins to piece together a web of deception and intrigue that reaches all the way back to Stonygates' troubled past. With all the twists and turns of a classic Christie mystery, They Do It With Mirrors is a thrilling rollercoaster ride of suspense and intrigue that will keep you guessing until the very end.
