All Dogs Go to Heaven Season 3 Episode 15

Ep 15. An All Dogs Christmas Carol

  • November 17, 1998

In the 15th episode of season 3 of All Dogs Go to Heaven, titled "An All Dogs Christmas Carol," viewers are treated to a holiday-themed episode that sees the series' familiar cast of canine characters learning the true meaning of Christmas.

As the episode begins, the streets of New Orleans are bustling with festive cheer, decorations, and street performers. While all of the dogs are feeling the holiday spirit, nobody is more excited than Itchy. However, Charlie's mood is decidedly less jovial. He views Christmas as just another opportunity for greedy humans to take advantage of good-natured canines like himself.

Charlie's grumpiness is soon put to the test. When a neighborhood stray dog named Timmy is set upon by a group of hostile human children, Charlie intervenes and saves the pup. The youngest of the children cries about how there won't be a Santa Claus because his father lost his job.

Over the protests of his cynical older sister, Sasha, the children urge Charlie and Itchy to go speak with Annabelle, the series' chief angelic figure, and plead the case for Santa's existence. Reluctantly, Charlie and Itchy agree, and Annabelle decides to teach Charlie the meaning of Christmas by taking him on a journey through the past, present, and future - a la Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

The journey starts with Charlie and Itchy watching their younger selves having fun with the humans they loved before they were betrayed by Carface, a dog who became their enemy. And the journey ends with an imagined future where they go to doggy Heaven where they meet their old friends and become angels as well.

Charlie comes to understand the true spirit of Christmas through the experience, learning the importance of selflessness, generosity, and kindness towards others. He finally sees that even though the humans might not understand animals the way they should, they can still embrace the Christmas spirit of hope, love, and redemption.

By the end of the episode, Charlie has learned his lesson. He is filled with the joy of Christmas and is eager to pass that spirit along to everyone he encounters. From saving a homeless man and finding him a job to bringing holiday cheer to all of the dogs in the park, Charlie becomes the embodiment of the Christmas spirit - proving that, indeed, all dogs go to Heaven, no matter how naughty or nice they may be.

Overall, "An All Dogs Christmas Carol" is a fun and heartwarming holiday special that will delight both longtime fans of the series and newcomers alike. It combines the timeless story of A Christmas Carol with the series' signature blend of humor, action, and heart, resulting in a must-watch episode for anyone looking to get into the festive mood.
