Race to the Edge is the title given to the third season of Dreamworks Dragons, a computer-animated series spun off from the film How to Train Your Dragon, which had appeared in theaters in 2010. This fantasy-adventure film introduced us to Hiccup and his unlikely friend, the dragon Toothless. Hiccup is a young misfit Viking living in the Nordic island of Berk, where dragons are hated and feared. Together, Hiccup and Toothless struggle to right wrongs and to teach the citizens of Berk how to tolerate diversity and to work together.

The three Dreamworks Dragons TV series have taken up the thread of the narration from this point, adding new characters and developing some of the more interesting personalities featured in the film. Over the course of the first two series, Hiccup surrounds himself with Vikings properly trained to ride dragons and to stand up for truth and justice. In the third series, Race to the Edge, Hiccup, his friend Astrid and his team of Dragon Riders, and Toothless leave Berk, seeking to quell a threatening villain and to explore new lands beyond their ken.

Dragons: Race to the Edge is a series that is currently running and has 6 seasons (84 episodes). The series first aired on June 26, 2015.
