Ep 5. Harper/Delete

In Andromeda season 4 episode 5, entitled Harper/Delete, the crew of the Andromeda Ascendant are on a mission to retrieve a vital piece of technology from an abandoned weapons research facility that has since fallen into the hands of the Nietzschean race. In a desperate attempt to save his life, Harper activates the self-destruct sequence on his newest invention, causing a massive explosion that takes out his attackers and destroys the facility in the process.

The crew are able to make it back to the Andromeda Ascendant just in time, but the loss of Harper's invention weighs heavily on them all. As they mourn the loss of a valuable asset, they also come to terms with the reality that their enemies will always be looking for ways to gain an edge in the ongoing battle for survival.
