Ep 1. Conviction (Part 1)

Angel, the vampire with a soul, is back in action in the fifth and final season of the hit supernatural series. In the season premiere episode entitled "Conviction (Part 1)", Angel has returned to Los Angeles with a newfound sense of purpose and determination. He's determined to make up for his past mistakes and become a champion for humanity once again.

The episode begins with Angel and his team of supernatural investigators, including fan favorites Spike and Gunn, attempting to close a mysterious portal that has been opened in the middle of the city. But their efforts are quickly thwarted by the arrival of a team of well-dressed, highly trained lawyers from the law firm Wolfram & Hart.

Angel and his friends are understandably wary of the new arrivals - after all, Wolfram & Hart has long been known as an organization that deals with the supernatural forces of evil. But the lawyers insist that they are there to help in the fight against evil, and that they have taken over Wolfram & Hart with the express purpose of using its vast resources to do good in the world.

As the episode progresses, Angel begins to realize that the new Wolfram & Hart is not all that it seems. The lawyers' methods are often morally questionable, and even Angel's vampiric senses are unable to detect any true evil in their actions.

Meanwhile, Spike, still adjusting to his new life as a ghost, is struggling to come to terms with his new form and the limitations it imposes on him. And Gunn, who has been struggling with his own internal demons since the death of his sister, finds himself drawn to the power and resources of their new allies.

As the episode draws to a close, Angel and his team find themselves embroiled in a complex web of intrigue and deception, with the true motivations of the new Wolfram & Hart still unclear. Will Angel be able to trust his new partners, or will their ulterior motives lead to their downfall? And as always, just who will be left standing when the dust settles?

"Conviction (Part 1)" is a thrilling return to the world of Angel, with all the action, drama, and supernatural shenanigans that fans have come to expect from the series. As the beginning of the final season, it sets the stage for a climactic battle between good and evil, and leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating what's to come.
