In Animal Practice season 1 episode 7, titled "Wingmen," the staff at Crane Animal Hospital finds themselves embroiled in a love triangle. Dr. George Coleman (played by Justin Kirk) and Dr. Doug Jackson (played by Tyler Labine) both have their sights set on the same gorgeous veterinarian, Dr. Angela Kanisky (played by Betsy Sodaro). It's not entirely clear whether Angela is interested in either of them or whether she's aware of their mutual competition, but the tensions between George and Doug are high as they try to win her affections.

Meanwhile, another patient enters the hospital: an injured bald eagle that's been brought in by a wildlife rehabber. The majestic bird is in bad shape and needs immediate attention, which George is more than happy to provide. He sees this as an opportunity to impress Angela and show her his skills as a doctor. However, Doug also wants to get involved and suggests using a non-traditional method to help the bird heal: acupuncture.

As George and Doug argue over the best ways to treat the eagle, Angela tries to keep the peace and make sure the patient gets the care it needs. A rivalry between the two doctors has been brewing for several episodes, and it's clear that their different approaches to veterinary medicine are at the heart of the issue. While George is more traditional and by-the-book, Doug is more unconventional and willing to explore alternative methods.

As the episode progresses, we see both doctors try to win over Angela in their own ways. George invites her to a fancy restaurant and tries to impress her with his knowledge of fine wines and cuisine. Doug, on the other hand, takes her to a dive bar and shows her a good time with his laid-back charm and wit. It's unclear at first which doctor Angela is more interested in, but as the episode unfolds, we see her start to make a choice.

Meanwhile, the bald eagle's condition worsens, and George and Doug are forced to team up to save the animal's life. They put their differences aside and work together to come up with a treatment plan that will help the eagle heal. As they work, they start to see each other in a new light and realize that they have more in common than they thought.

In the end, "Wingmen" is a heartwarming episode that explores the relationships between the characters and their different approaches to veterinary medicine. It's also a reminder that, when it comes down to it, sometimes the most important thing is putting aside our differences and doing what's best for our patients. Fans of Animal Practice will enjoy seeing the staff at Crane Animal Hospital come together to save the life of a majestic bird and maybe even find a little love along the way.
