Animal Precinct Season 1 Episode 5 Rottweiler Rescue

He obtains a warrant to search the owner’s property and, in addition to finding evidence of dog fighting, he finds a pregnant Rottweiler and several other dogs living in squalor. Ahearn seizes the dogs and arrests the owner for animal cruelty and dog fighting.

Back at the hospital, Rocco’s condition improves, and he starts responding well to the treatment. He begins to eat and drink normally and even wags his tail when he sees his caretakers. However, the medical team faces a major challenge - finding a permanent home for Rocco. Because of his serious medical condition and aggressive behavior, they fear that it will be difficult to find someone who is willing to adopt him.

Rocco’s story gains media attention, and several people come forward, expressing their desire to adopt him. Each prospective adopter must undergo a rigorous screening process to ensure that Rocco will be going to a loving and caring home. The medical team spends several days deciding on the best candidate and finally settles on a family with a lot of experience with Rottweilers, who have a large backyard and are willing to continue Rocco’s medical treatment.

The episode ends with Rocco’s adoption, which brings tears to everyone’s eyes. The program concludes with an appeal to viewers to report cases of animal cruelty and neglect and support the ASPCA in their mission to end animal abuse.
