Shujin and Saiko meet with their editor Hattori to discuss their ongoing manga series "Perfect Crime Party." Meanwhile, the two decide to try their hand at writing a one-shot manga for a popular magazine called "Jack." They come up with a story about a samurai who has lost his way and is trying to find a reason to continue living. Saiko struggles with the writing, but Shujin encourages him to keep going.

As they work on the one-shot manga, they also continue to make progress on "Perfect Crime Party" and begin brainstorming ideas for the anime adaptation. Hattori suggests they hold a meeting with potential animators, and they soon find themselves overwhelmed by the number of people interested in the project.
