In the thirteenth episode of season five, titled "The Grand Re-Opening," the Black Ink Crew shop in Harlem is finally ready to unveil its new and improved look after being closed for renovations. Ceaser, the owner, is eager to see all of his hard work come to fruition as he prepares for the grand re-opening party.
The episode begins with Ceaser and his crew putting the finishing touches on the shop before the party starts. They are excited to show off the new additions to the shop, including a new tattoo station and barbershop. However, tensions start to rise as they begin to realize that they might not be ready for the grand re-opening.
While the crew is busy getting the shop ready, Sky, one of the Black Ink Crew members, is dealing with some personal issues of her own. She has been struggling to reconnect with her son Des, who she gave up for adoption many years ago. Sky decides to take a break from the chaos at the shop and visits Des in Texas. Their reunion is emotional and Sky is determined to build a relationship with her son.
Back in Harlem, the grand re-opening party is in full swing. Ceaser, Donna, Alex, and the rest of the crew are excited to show off their hard work to their friends and family. However, things take a turn when a fight breaks out between Sky's new boyfriend and one of the other guests at the party.
As the night continues, tensions rise between different members of the crew. Don, who has been romantically involved with Tati, another member of the crew, starts to feel jealous as he notices her talking to another man. Meanwhile, Ceaser has his own problems to deal with as his ex-girlfriend Dutchess makes a surprise appearance at the party.
Despite the drama, the grand re-opening is a success and the crew is happy to have the shop up and running once again. As the episode comes to a close, Ceaser and the rest of the crew reflect on their journey and look forward to what the future holds for Black Ink Crew.
