Ep 21. Sasuke and Sarada

Sasuke and Sarada, the 21st episode of the first season of the Japanese anime series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, revolves around the relationship between Sasuke Uchiha and his daughter Sarada. The episode then shifts back to Sarada, who accidentally discovers a photo of a young Sasuke with a woman who she suspects to be her mother. Sarada begins to have doubts about her lineage when she finds out that she doesn't have a Sharingan, a kekkei genkai that is unique to the Uchiha clan and passed on from generation to generation. She then visits her father's former teammate and close friend, Naruto, and asks him if Sasuke is truly her father.

Naruto assures her that there is no doubting that Sasuke is her father, and suggests that Sarada should seek an answer from Sasuke himself. Sarada decides to meet her father and ask him about her lineage. Upon arriving at Sasuke's hideout, Sarada learns from her father about Shin's experiments and their effect on her as the target. Sasuke then suggests that they return to the village to conduct a DNA test and clear any doubts.

On their way back to the village, they are attacked by Shin and his clones, but Sarada is able to call forth her Sharingan for the first time to defend herself. The battle ends with Sasuke defeating Shin and realizing that he has to be more involved in his family's life. The episode concludes with Sarada performing a DNA test and confirming that Sasuke is truly her father.
