Buck Rogers is an American sci-fi television series that aired from 1979 to 1981. The show is based on the character Buck Rogers, who was originally created by Philip Francis Nowlan in 1928. The Buck Rogers TV series follows the adventures of Captain William "Buck" Rogers, a pilot who is cryogenically frozen for 500 years and wakes up in the 25th century, where he becomes embroiled in a war between Earth and the evil Draconian Empire.

In season 1 episode 2 of Buck Rogers, titled "Awakening (2)", Buck continues to adjust to his new world while also trying to stop the Draconian Empire from launching an attack on Earth. In the previous episode, Buck was brought out of his cryogenic state by the Draconians, who had discovered his spacecraft drifting in space. After realizing that he was in the future, Buck sought out help from the people of Earth, but instead found himself arrested and interrogated by security forces.

At the beginning of "Awakening (2)", Buck is still being held in custody, but he manages to escape with the help of his fellow prisoners. Buck soon finds himself in the midst of a battle between Earth's forces and the Draconians, who are trying to destroy a crucial defense satellite. Buck uses his skills as a pilot to help take out the Draconian fighters, earning the respect of the Earth forces.

As Buck becomes more involved in the war effort, he begins to suspect that the Draconians may have a spy among the Earth forces. He teams up with a beautiful scientist named Dr. Theopolis, who has created a complex artificial intelligence system that can help them track down the spy. Buck and Dr. Theopolis race against time to stop the spy before the Draconians can launch their attack.

Meanwhile, Buck is also trying to adjust to life in the 25th century. He is fascinated by the futuristic technology and culture, but also experiences culture shock as he learns about the changes that have occurred over the past 500 years. Buck befriends a street-smart kid named Twiki, who becomes his loyal sidekick and helps him adapt to his new surroundings.

As the episode progresses, Buck's suspicions about the spy are confirmed, and he and Dr. Theopolis are able to identify the traitor. With this critical information, Buck and the Earth forces are able to launch a preemptive strike against the Draconians, which saves the defense satellite and prevents the attack on Earth.

In the end, Buck becomes a hero to the Earth forces, who welcome him as one of their own. However, Buck is still struggling to reconcile himself to the fact that he is no longer a man of the 20th century. He will continue to face challenges as he tries to fit in and make a new life for himself in a world that is both familiar and strange.

Overall, "Awakening (2)" is an exciting and action-packed episode that sets the tone for the rest of the series. The show's blend of sci-fi, adventure, and humor makes it a beloved classic that still resonates with audiences today.
