Ep 9. The Puppet Show

As they investigate the source of the evil, the wooden puppet becomes the prime suspect and relentless scrutiny maintains his presence at the center of the mystery. Buffy and her friends suspect that he might be operating under demonic possession, and they start to link the strange happenings to the puppet's arrival on the scene.

While the gang gets closer to uncovering the mystery, the puppet continues his creepy presence on stage, taunting Morgan and his troupe. Buffy and her friends notice that the puppet starts to take on a life of its own, moving and speaking when its supposed to be lifeless.

The group soon realizes that the puppet is actually an ancient, cursed demon that has been trapped inside the wooden puppet for centuries. They confirm their suspicions after discovering its origins and past acts of murder and mayhem.

The only solution to defeat the demon is to perform a ritual that would send it back to its own dimension. So, in true Buffy style, they team up and try to stop the demon in its tracks by tracking it down and performing the ritual before it's too late.

As the tension mounts, Morgan reveals his previously undisclosed secret – that he is in fact a demon hunter, and he has been trying to capture the demonic puppet for years.

Finally, the demon is stopped and sent back to its realm, resulting in the liberation of the stock and allowing the show to proceed in peace. As the talent show commences, precious little details come to light, and some relationships are formed.
