Ep 2. Tiny House Switcheroo

In season 8 episode 2 of Property Brothers: Buying & Selling, titled "Tiny House Switcheroo," the famous twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott help a couple who are looking to downsize and live in a smaller space. Julie and Ross are a newlywed couple who have recently purchased a tiny house but are finding it too cramped for their lifestyle.

The episode begins with a tour of Julie and Ross's tiny home. At just 170 square feet, the house is too small for their needs. They have a small kitchen, a cramped living area, and no real bedroom. The couple hopes to find a bigger home that is still small enough to fit their minimalist lifestyle.

Drew takes the couple on a tour of a fixer-upper that is currently on the market. The house is larger than their current tiny home, but not by much. Drew takes Julie and Ross back to the fixer-upper for a third look. This time, he's brought in a designer to show them what the house could look like with some updates. The designer suggests a new kitchen layout, reconfiguring the bathroom, and updating the stair railing. The couple is impressed with the design, but still feels overwhelmed at the prospect of taking on such a big project.

Jonathan finishes up the renovation on the tiny house. He shows the couple the finished product, which includes a newly painted exterior, updated kitchen and bathroom, and the new sleeping loft. The couple is amazed at how much more functional the space is compared to before.

Back at the fixer-upper, Drew presents the couple with a new option. He's found a smaller house that's move-in ready and fits their budget. The couple is hesitant to give up their dream of having a larger space to grow into, but ultimately decides to make an offer on the move-in ready house.

In the end, Julie and Ross sell their tiny house and move into the move-in ready house that Drew found for them. While it's not as big as they originally envisioned, it's the perfect size for their minimalist lifestyle. They're grateful to Drew and Jonathan for helping them navigate the challenges of buying and selling property, and for helping them create a space that truly fits their needs.
