Ep 7. Sakura's First Burglary Attempt!?

Sakura's First Burglary Attempt!? is the seventh episode of Cardcaptor Sakura's first season. Sakura is in her room when she realizes that she has not returned the library books in time, and heads to the library to return them. While there, she discovers that someone has already taken out the book she wanted to borrow, but she learns from Tomoyo that the book is in fact pretty old, and while it is no longer available at the public library, it could still be found at the local bookstore. Sakura then heads to the store to find the book, but notices a group of suspicious people around a nearby building. She also notices a woman who seems to be trying to steal an expensive-looking brooch from a store display, and immediately alerts the store's employees.

Sakura's senses are heightened as she continues to walk around, looking at the stores and cafes. She spots an empty café that belongs to her friend Tomoyo’s mother, and realizing that she has been looking for an opportunity for a while now, she comes up with the idea of snatching the key to the cafe from her brother, Touya's room, so she could sneak in and use the kitchen. Her intention is to bake her father a cake with berries he picked during a recent outing to the mountains.

However, things take an unexpected turn when the woman from earlier decides to take another stab at stealing the brooch from the store, this time with the help of a van which is parked outside the store. Sakura, having overheard their plan, decides to take matters into her own hands and prevent the theft from taking place. She heads to the cafe to come up with a plan to stop the robbers from their plan.

Sakura quickly scribbles out a mysterious card 'The Fly' and activates it, enabling her to fly around the city in search of the van. She eventually spots the van with the help of Kerberos's heightened senses, and lands on the roof of the vehicle. That's when she discovers that the robbers are breaking into the home of a retired police officer. She carefully follows the robber's trail as they make their way through the house, and eventually manages to find the brooch that they had been looking for.

The fun and suspenseful episode comes to an end when Sakura finally confronts the thieves and they are captured. Sakura is finally able to return the brooch to the store, and later admits to Tomoyo that the reason for her sudden bravery was that she wanted to try a hands-on approach to capturing Clow Cards. In the end, her father loves the cake she baked using the items from the cafe and celebrates her success for foiling the robbery.

Sakura's First Burglary Attempt!? is an entertaining and lighthearted episode of Cardcaptor Sakura's first season, which provides plenty of enjoyable suspense and character development for the viewers. It features a lot of action, coupled with the extraordinary use of Clow Cards, as well as Sakura's remarkable courage and persistence in stopping the robbers and keeping her secret life as a cardcaptor a secret from her family and friends. Overall, it is an excellent addition to the series and an enjoyable watch for fans and newcomers alike.
