Celebrity Deathmatch was an animated comedy series that aired on MTV from 1998 to 2002. The show featured claymation versions of various celebrities engaging in fictional fights to the death. The first episode of season 1, titled "Seinfeld's Last Stand," aired on May 14, 1998.

The episode began with the show's hosts, Johnny Gomez and Nick Diamond, introducing the night's first match-up: Jerry Seinfeld versus Rosie O'Donnell. The two claymation figures emerged from their respective corners of the ring, with Seinfeld dressed in his signature puffy shirt and O'Donnell in a leather jacket and fedora.

As the two began to fight, it quickly became clear that Seinfeld was outmatched by O'Donnell's brute strength. She pummeled him with powerful blows, knocking him to the ground multiple times. However, Seinfeld refused to go down without a fight and used his quick wit to make some snide remarks as O'Donnell beat him up.

The match ended with a stunning upset when Seinfeld cleverly distracted O'Donnell with a conversation about eating disorders, allowing him to land a final blow and knock her out for the win. The crowd erupted into cheers, and Seinfeld was declared the victor.

Next up on the card was a match between Howard Stern and Kathie Lee Gifford. Stern, with his towering height and shock jock persona, seemed like the clear favorite, while Gifford, known for her sunny disposition and evangelical Christian beliefs, was seen as the underdog.

However, Gifford proved to be a formidable opponent, towering over Stern in a display of strength that no one had anticipated. She threw him around the ring like a rag doll, taunting him with lines from her hit song "Love Never Dies."

Despite his efforts to fight back with crude insults and raunchy jokes, Stern was no match for Gifford's raw strength. The match ended with Gifford delivering a crushing blow that knocked Stern out cold, securing her spot as one of the show's most unexpected champions.

The third and final match of the night was between Beavis and Butt-Head, two of the most iconic animated characters of the 1990s. The two slacker teens faced off in a no-holds-barred brawl that left the audience in stitches.

Their match was filled with lowbrow humor, fart jokes, and gratuitous violence, including a moment where Beavis lit Butt-Head on fire for a split second. However, the match ended in a draw when they both knocked each other out simultaneously, leaving the judges unable to declare a clear winner.

Overall, "Seinfeld's Last Stand" was a hilarious and wildly entertaining start to the first season of Celebrity Deathmatch. The show would go on to pit countless celebrities against each other in increasingly ridiculous fights, cementing its status as a cult classic.
