In the fourth episode of Corporate's first season, titled "Trademarq," Matt and Jake are tasked with saving Hampton DeVille's most profitable product, Trademarq, after a small-time sneaker company copies the design and begins selling it cheaper.

The episode begins with Hampton DeVille's CEO Christian DeVille ranting about the sneaker company's knock-off product and demanding that Trademarq's profits be saved. Matt and Jake are then summoned to a meeting with the company's lawyers to discuss the legal action that can be taken against the sneaker company.

The lawyers inform Matt and Jake that their options are limited due to the intricate and often unpredictable nature of trademark law. They suggest that filing a lawsuit against the sneaker company would be costly and time-consuming and may not even result in a favorable outcome.

Matt becomes increasingly frustrated as he realizes the limitations of the legal system and the corrupt nature of corporate greed. He begins to side with the small business that copied Trademarq, realizing that they are simply trying to provide affordable options for their customers.

Jake, on the other hand, remains focused on preserving Trademarq's profits and tries to think of creative ways to combat the sneaker company's success. He eventually comes up with the idea to create "dummy" sneaker companies to flood the market with fake Trademarq knock-offs, making it difficult for consumers to tell which product is the real one.

Matt reluctantly goes along with Jake's plan, but secretly continues to sympathize with the small business owners and their plight. As they implement their plan, they run into unforeseen consequences that threaten to backfire on them.

The episode ultimately ends with a twist that leaves Matt and Jake questioning their actions and the motivations behind them.

"Trademarq" is an insightful and satirical commentary on the cutthroat nature of corporate greed and the limitations of the legal system. The episode highlights the ways in which corporations will do whatever it takes to maintain profits, even if it means destroying small businesses and taking advantage of legal loopholes. The storyline is both entertaining and thought-provoking, leaving viewers to reflect on their own values and the role they play in the capitalist system.
