Ep 7. Terminal Velocity

Detention Adventure is a Canadian television series that follows four friends - Raign, Brett, Joy, and Hulk - as they embark on a dangerous and adventurous quest through their school's basement to find Alexander Graham Bell's hidden laboratory. In season 1's episode 7 titled 'Terminal Velocity,' the four friends find themselves facing one of their toughest challenges yet.

The episode starts with the group having a heated debate about how to get past a dangerous hallway that lies ahead of them. Brett believes that they should take their time and proceed with caution, while Raign, on the other hand, is impatient and wants to rush through it as quickly as possible. As the debate escalates, they hear a strange rumbling sound coming from the end of the hallway, which immediately puts them on high alert.

Suddenly, the group realizes that they've triggered a booby trap that Raign had missed when doing her scans. The hallway begins to shake violently, and the group realizes that they only have a limited amount of time to get to safety before the walls collapse on them.

Quickly thinking on her feet, Joy recommends that they use two old cloth banners that she had found earlier and make makeshift parachutes to help them glide across the collapsing floor. Using the makeshift parachutes, the group jumps and glides through the halls as the walls crumble around them.

Finally, the group reaches the end of the hallway and opens a secret door that leads to the entrance of a massive underground laboratory. The laboratory is a monument to Alexander Graham Bell’s work and contains all of his inventions, including the iconic red phone that he used to make his first phone call. The group marvels at the sight of the laboratory and is filled with awe as they wander through it.

As they explore the laboratory, they come across a set of clues that point to a secret journal that Bell had supposedly hidden somewhere in the room. The team realizes that finding this journal could be the key to discovering Bell's most significant invention and the ultimate goal of their quest.

While searching for the secret journal, the team comes across a set of complicated puzzles which they must solve to continue on their quest. Hulk claims that he can solve them quickly because he is smarter than the rest of them, but Joy reminds him that they had all been in detention together for a reason and that none of them were geniuses.

Finally, after hours of searching and working through difficult puzzles, they stumble upon the journal. They open it and find a set of plans that detail Bell's most significant invention - an invention that could change the course of history forever.

As the group examines the plans and prepares to take the journal out of the laboratory, they suddenly hear footsteps coming from the entrance of the room. And to their horror, they realize that they're not the only ones who have discovered the laboratory.

The episode ends with the group trapped inside the laboratory with no way out, as the person who followed them into the laboratory closes in on them.
