"Dickens' Secret Lover" (2008) is a British docudrama about the author Charles Dickens, who embarked on an affair with an 18-year-old girl in 1857. He was 45 at the time. Dickens, who was extremely popular with the public, was very much aware of what would happen to his image if people found out about his affair. He therefore went to great lengths to hide it. Their relationship lasted for 13 years.
