The second part of the episode, "Un Case de Espino-Pinchos" (translation: Thorny Issue), deals with Hallie's problem. She has got some thorns stuck in her paw and is in considerable pain. After examination, Dottie finds that her paw needs cleaning and that the thorns must be removed. The toy sheep, Lambie, helps by being a support system for Hallie while Dottie removes the thorns. Lambie takes on some of the pain herself to help her friend get through the tough time. Afterward, Dottie and her friends come up with a plan to prevent any future incidents. They make special boots for Hallie that will prevent thorns from getting stuck in her paws during her walks in the garden.

Throughout the episode, Dottie's medical expertise and her passion for treating her toys are on full display. She is resourceful and determined to fix all ailments that come her way. Her friendship with her toy friends is heartwarming to see as they all work together to solve the problems at hand.
