"Hye Jung will be assisting." With a tumor growing in a dangerous spot, Myung hoon wants Ji hong to operate on him. However, Ji hong will not do the operation if Hye Jung doesn't assist him.

Seo Woo hears from Soo Jin that Hye Jung came to Gookil Hospital because of Myung Hoon. Meanwhile, Hye Jung finds out that Ji Hong isn't making his move yet because of the recorded conversation with Doo Sik.

"Leave Hye Jung alone." Yoon Do helps Hye Jung by accepting the director's offer. He finds out about the slush fund and threatens Myung Hoon. Meanwhile, Seo Woo is suspicious about Myung Hoon's sudden lack of interest in Hye Jung.

"She must be fired." Hye Jung goes before the Disciplinary Committee hearing recapping her convictions. Myung Hoon argues that Hye Jung be fired. Meanwhile, Kang Soo ends up getting surgery as he went into seizure before his colleagues.

"You have the anesthesiology records. Hye Jung learns that Chi Hyun accessed her grandma's anesthesiology records recently and confronts him hoping he would hand it over. Meanwhile, Kang Soo, suspicious of his frequent headaches, gets a CT done.

"Feelings are things that change." Seo Woo finds Young Kook's sudden interest in her awkward yet doesn't want to lose him as a friend. Ji Hong and Hye Jung butt head over a surgery.

"Have you never thought of just giving up?" Ji Hong learned from Nurse Yoo that Doo Sik conversed with Sung Jong prior to his death. Ji Hong questions Sung Jong as they've frequently argued. Meanwhile, Hye Jung responds with mixed feelings when she sees Mr. Nam not giving up on his children.

"They want to interview Doctor Hye Jung." Right after the audit incident, Gookil Hospital faces another investigation of fraudulent hiring. Myung Hoon gives Gookil Hospital a makeover by allowing Hye Jung's interview to happen. Meanwhile, Ji Hong and Hye Jung secretly start dating.

"I want to be in your life." While Ji Hong was in the U.S., Ji Hong and Hye Jung lost touch. They end up at Ji Hong's place for a heart-to-heart. Meanwhile, Ji Hong checks Soo Jin's motor functions and sees tears from her eye.

"What will I do when you no longer love me?" Ji Hong and Hye Jung, through Soo Jin's urgent surgery, run into In Joo. Meanwhile, Hye Jung finds out that Ji Hong has been fraught over her disciplinary issue and pays him a visit. She tells him her true feelings for him.

"Doctor, you have a really big hand." From afar, Hye Jung secretly observes Yoon Do and Ji Hong talking. Hye Jung walks up to Ji Hong and holds his hand in an effort to console him over Doo Sik's surgery. Meanwhile, Seo Woo informs the hospital that Hye Jung received a bribe from a patient. Hye Jung gets called to the internal audit team.

"Your actions tell me to keep on, and your eyes tell me to stay." Insulted by Yoon Do, Seo Woo slaps him on the face declaring a newfound recklessness to life. Meanwhile, Ji Hong senses that Doo Sik's behavior is a little out of the ordinary. Doo Sik ends up tripping in front of Ji Hong.

"I am thinking like a woman." After much contemplation, Hye Jung decides to join Soo Chul's operation after his car accident. During surgery, Hye Jung flips out when Soo Chul's blood pressure drastically drops. Meanwhile, Yoon Do confesses his true feelings for Hye Jung.

"We will do an awake surgery." Ji Hong ends up operating on the archery athlete with hand tremors. Hye Jung is ecstatic about assisting Ji Hong in the awake surgery. Meanwhile, Seo Woo continues to rant on about wanting to train under Ji Hong.

"I wish she was family" Hye Jung passes a note to Ji Hong with her Grandma's file number on it. She asks him to print a copy of her operation report. Meanwhile, Ga Jin, under Hye Jung's supervision, causes a ruckus in the treatment room. Hye Jung begs Yoon Do to take on Ga Jin.

"I don't run from a fight that comes my way." Hye Jung heads over to the VIP section to check on the "Boss." She sees a strange man lurking in front of the room. Meanwhile, Yoon Do provokes Hye Jung as she refused to train under him. Hye Jung pushes herself by taking on a surgery way too complicated beyond her skills.

"What's your motive for coming here?" Seo Woo becomes a doctor and is shocked to see Hye Jung standing before her very eyes. She confronts Hye Jung to find out what brings her to Gookil Hospital. Meanwhile, Ji Hong performs the treatment on a passenger on a flight and then takes the helicopter to Gookil ER. Ji Hong, who is now a fellow at Gookil, gets off the helicopter to be reunited with Hye Jung.

"So, why am I worried about you?" Ji Hong hears that Hye Jung is in jail. Anticipating her possible injuries, he stops by with meds in hand. Hye Jung worries about Ji Hong getting hurt on her behalf. Meanwhile, as Myung Hoon operates on Mal Soon, Hye Jung anxiously awaits the surgery outcome.

On the way home, Ji Hong and Hye Jung run into a pregnant lady with a headache. Ji Hong quickly diagnoses that she needs urgent care and rushes to call Doo Sik for help. Ji Hong performs CPR on the pregnant lady right after she throws up. Hye Jung was flabbergasted by this. In the meantime, Ji Hong and Hye Jung get close enough to go to school together. Seo Woo witnesses them together and tries to act cool about it.

Hye Jung got caught stealing a CD by the store owner. Unaware that Ji Hong stood up for her, Hye Jung evades blame by lying even more. However, Ji Hong, suspicious, follows her and ends up going through her purse. Hye Jung's surprising sidekicks him. Meanwhile, Ji Hong gets a new transfer student with a hunch that it might be Hye Jung.
