In "Godspeed," the second episode of Dominion season 1, the stakes continue to rise in the world of Vega, formerly known as Las Vegas. The episode opens with Alex (played by Christopher Egan) still trying to come to terms with his newfound role as the Chosen One, tasked with saving humanity from an impending war with the angels. Meanwhile, the Archangel Michael (played by Tom Wisdom) is still on the run, fleeing from those who would capture him and use his powers for their own gain.

As tensions continue to rise between the humans and the angels, Vega's leader, General Riesen (played by Alan Dale), tries to hold his people together while also seeking out allies. He meets with the enigmatic Arika (played by Shivani Ghai), a woman who claims to have important information about the angels' plans. But can she be trusted?

Elsewhere, Alex's friend and fellow soldier, Noma (played by Kim Engelbrecht), struggles with her own identity. She has flashes of memory that suggest she may be more than just a soldier, but she isn't sure what to make of them. Could she too be one of the Chosen Ones?

As the episode progresses, Alex and Michael's paths begin to converge. They both know that time is running out to prevent a war between humans and angels, and they must work together to stop it. But will they be able to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal?

One of the central themes of "Godspeed" is the idea of trust. As Vega prepares for war, its leaders must decide who they can trust and who they can't. Arika's arrival complicates matters, as she claims to have important information but also has her own agenda. Similarly, Alex and Michael must decide whether or not they can trust each other, despite their past disagreements.

Another theme of the episode is the idea of self-discovery. Alex and Noma are both grappling with their identities, trying to figure out who they are and what their place is in the world. This is a common trope in science-fiction and fantasy stories, but it's handled well here and adds depth to the characters.

Overall, "Godspeed" is a solid installment of Dominion. The plot moves forward, the characters continue to develop, and some intriguing new elements are introduced. It sets the stage for the rest of the season well and leaves viewers eager to see what comes next.
