In episode 2 of the first season of Down to Earth with Zac Efron, the actor and his co-host Daren Olien travel to beautiful France to learn about the country's unique approach to sustainability and wellness.

Zac and Daren start their journey in Paris, where they meet with sustainable fashion designer Marine Serre. Serre discusses her love for vintage clothing and her commitment to using recycled materials in all her designs. The trio then visits the Puces de Saint-Ouen, one of the biggest flea markets in the world, to explore the possibilities of repurposing vintage clothing.

Next, the team heads to Provence to learn about the region's long-standing tradition of perfumery. They visit a 150-year-old fragrance house where they discover how essential oils are used to create some of the world's most luxurious scents. Zac and Daren even get to try their hand at creating their own personal fragrance!

The focus then turns to food, as the team visits Jean-Marc and Cécile, a couple that runs a biodynamic farm in the countryside. The couple explains how they use natural techniques like crop rotation and composting to produce healthy and sustainable fruits and vegetables. They also show Zac and Daren how to forage for wild herbs, which they use to create an incredible meal that celebrates the flavors of Provence.

The final stop on the journey is a wellness retreat in the stunning town of Aix-en-Provence. Here, Zac and Daren meet up with Dr. Dominique Eraud, a traditional Chinese medicine expert who shares her knowledge on how to achieve true wellness. They participate in acupuncture and qi gong sessions and learn about the importance of mindful breathing and meditation.

Throughout the episode, Zac and Daren are inspired by the people they meet and the practices they learn about. They come away from their French adventure with a renewed appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and a deeper understanding of how to live in harmony with it.
