Ep 22. Foreverwood (2)

The show Everwood tells the story of Dr. Andrew Brown, a world-renowned neurosurgeon who leaves New York City after his wife dies to raise his two children, Ephram and Delia, in the small town of Everwood.

As Dr. Brown prepares to leave, he has one more patient to see - Nina. She is pregnant and although they had previously discussed her moving to Everwood to be with him, she ultimately decides that she needs to stay in New York City to continue her career. Dr. Brown is torn between staying in Everwood to be with his family and going back to New York City to be with Nina, but in the end, he decides to go to New York City.

The episode ends with Dr. Brown driving out of town, with a few stops along the way to say goodbye to some of his closest friends. As he drives away, the town sign that previously read "Welcome to Everwood" now reads "Goodbye, Thanks for Visiting Everwood." The final shot is of Dr. Brown driving off into the distance as the sun sets behind him.

Overall, "Foreverwood (2)" is a bittersweet and poignant finale to a series that explored family, grief, love, and the power of community. The episode ties up all the loose ends in a satisfying way, while still leaving the viewers with a sense of longing for the characters and the town of Everwood.
